BioSusan Parker serves as Apex Friendship High School's Psychologist. She moved here from her home state of West Virginia 17 years ago with her husband of 34 years, and two daughters, Lauren (26 years old) and Breanne (23 years old). She attended Marshall University, where she received all of her degrees, BA, MA, and Ed.S. After serving at the middle school level for 13 years, Mrs. Parker decided to transition to the high school level. Mrs. Parker also provides services to Turner Creek Year Round Elementary School. In her role as a school psychologist, Mrs. Parker collaborates with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment that strengthens connections between home, school, and the community for all students. In addition, Mrs. Parker supports administrators in promoting a positive school culture and climate and has expertise in determining a student’s level of cognitive and conceptual development. Our common goal in the guidance department is to maximize the potential of all students! We provide academic, emotional, social, and behavioral support services to all of our students through direct and indirect services in order to promote optimal learning.
